Hi everyone! The cold weather is approaching and my skin is prone to getting really dry in the fall and winter so I wanted to share all my fave skincare items for a flawless face 🙂
First Aid Beauty
This is my favorite face moisturizer yet and it’s perfect for the face as well as the hands! It definitely helps with the dryness and I love that it absorbs quickly into my face. In addition, my hands are always so dry from constantly washing it at work so this definitely helps with that.
Beauty by Earth SPF
Some people believe that spf is only needed when out in the sun or at the beach.. WRONG! Spf is needed all year around to block those uv rays. Even though it is cold out, the sun is still out and still beaming them rays! There are a lot of moisturizers out there with spf like the ones from vivianewoodard.com in it but since my favorite one above does not have spf, that is why I have this additionally. This is made up of all natural ingredients and goes to work right away!
Facial Roller + Facial Oil
Jade and facial rollers are all over Instagram and beauty magazines now and it definitely lives up to the hype. I originally saw posts about jade rollers, which are made up of jade green but I was more interested in the pink quartz roller obviously because it’s pink LOL. Either way, they both share amazing health benefits! To begin with, facial rolling helps with the lymphatic system, which is our body’s system that does detoxification. It stimulates circulation, which helps to reduce wrinkles, puffiness, and inflammation. The quartz is cool to touch but you can keep it in the fridge for an even cooler effect, which will really help with the puffiness. I am prone to allergies and don’t get a lot of sleep, so this works well for me in the morning as a nice pick-me-up to help my face look less puffy and more alive. You can do this with or without facial oil but I do recommend this facial oil by the Ordinary which has hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump the skin! I recommend doing this morning and night after cleansing. I love this line because they are high quality products and is very affordable. This facial oil is only $6.80!!!
Summer Friday’s Overtime Mask
I was obsessed with their jetlag mask when it first came out and thought it would be hard to top, but this mask is a great competitor. While jetlag is more of a gentle mask, I really love how this is exfoliating and it smells like pumpkin aka perfect for fall! It brushes away dead skins and leave a perfectly flawless and GLOWING complexion after. Directions: apply a thick layer and leave it on for 10-15mins and then wash off. Apply moisturizer after or their Jet Leg Mask.
Okay, I didn’t think I needed this but luckily I was gifted by Influenster to try this bad boy out. It is a very gentle tool that exfoliates the face and removes any fuzz, built up dirty, and dead skin cells to leave an absolutely flawless finish! I was surprised how easy it was to use and I thought I was going to cut myself but I didn’t yay. You won’t need to do this on the daily. I first used it weekly and now probably use it every 2-3 weeks. I am definitely going to be using it more since the weather is getting colder and my face is going to get dryer. Having an exfoliated face plays a big part in long lasting makeup because it creates a very clean base.
I have been using this for years now and I think it definitely helped with my acne prone skin because I barely have any breakouts now. The brush head I use is the green one for acne and even though I don’t have any breakouts now, I still use it to prevent acne and also because it is very gentle. I only use this on days where I am wearing makeup because it really helps get all that makeup out compared to just a makeup wipe or cleanser alone. According to an expert dermatologist in Malaysia, one of the biggest skincare no-nos is to go to sleep with a dirty face of makeup.. this is how your pores get clogged and this can lead to breakouts.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray
This product is really a steal with multiple uses for only $7. It is a hydration facial spray that I use to set my makeup and also when traveling as a little pick-me-up to freshen up my face. It can also be used after moisturizing and facial rolling! The one I used contains aloe, cucumbers, and green tea, which are all natural cooling ingredients.
I know it seems like a lot, but it’s not a lot of products at all and I don’t use everyone of these everyday. It is never too late to start investing in your skin ladies! These are everyday staple products that are long lasting and goes a long way and your skin will thank you 🙂
