The Fabul0uus Miami Guide

Hi everyone! So I recently had a girls trip to Miami and just wanted to recap and give you advice and recommendations on what I did. This is my second time in Miami but first was with my family so didn’t really count cause we didn’t go wild or anything LOL. Ultimately, I think Miami is the perfect girls trip and even bachelorette. It’s so much fun and the weather is amazing!

Accommodations:

We stayed at Kimpton’s Angler’s right in South Beach which is 4 min walk to South Beach & also Ocean Drive. The hotel had a beautiful rooftop pool, outdoor deck area to hang out, and also a nice bar. There are plenty of hotels in South Beach and of course plenty of Air bnb’s but I love this hotel for the location and also rooftop pool.

Attractions

South Beach
You definitely have to hit up this beach when you’re here since it has so many cute little huts (IG worthy photo ops) and right on Ocean Drive where there are major bars, restaurants, and shops. The beach gets pretty crowded and there are umbrella/chair rentals as well as stands that sells drinks.

Ocean Drive
Right off South Beach, it’s a long strip of restaurants, bars, and shops. This is also where the Art Deco district is so if you’re into art, culture, or just taking pictures then this is the place for you. Think of it like a boardwalk but an actual street. I personally recommend Clevelander’s which is a hotel with an outdoors bar and pool. It gets pretty lit at night and the music is poppin! There’s also Fat Tuesday & Wet Willie’s, which are two bars that are known for their frozen drinks aka they’re gonna get you lit AF lol

Versace Mansion: If you’re feeling a little boujee and wanna splurge, then this is the place for you. It was formally a mansion that turned into a boutique hotel The hotel suites are at least 1k but the rooms are very luxurious and inspired by the designer. The mosaic pool is to die for and it also has an Italian Restaurant called Gianni’s so you can feel like you are right in Italy 🙂

Yacht
If you’re with a group of girls, I highly this activity because it is so much fun! There are plenty of yacht rentals in Miami and when I was doing my research, they are all priced the same and it depends on how big of a yacht you want as well. We used a company called 5 Star Miami, and between 9 girls, we paid around $175 each since the yacht was around $1500, which includes gratuity and tip. We paid for 4 hours and the sailor drove us around and then docked for us to jump in and swam. Our yacht provided us water, had a kitchen, sink, fridge, bathroom (you can check Sarkinen Plumbing in Portland, OR from here), and even a bed for napping! It was BYOB so we got lit and had fun. Make sure you bring a speaker and make a poppin playlist 🙂

Wynwood District
This district is known for its colorful wall murals so lots of backdrops for photos! This area also has lots of little boutiques, shops, food, restaurants, bars, basically everything lol.

Nightlife

Miami is basically known for its nightlife and parties! The major clubs are LIV, Story, and EllEVEN. If you google or ask anyone, they will most likely say these three. The music depends on if there are any DJs playing that night so definitely do your research before you go. For ladies, if you can find a promoter on IG, you can guarantee free entry because cover can get pretty expensive. If you’re not a club person, there are plenty of other lounges. We went to W Lounge at the W Hotel (free cover) and Rockwell which was only a min walk away from our hotel. The dress code for Miami nightlife is definitely dress to impress!

Food:

Cuban Sandwiches
I don’t have a specific name of the restaurant but there are multiple restaurants and mom & pop’s shop all over Miami that sells Cuban sandwiches. It’s basically a sub sandwich with ham, roast pork, Swiss cheese, mustard, and pickles. They are pretty popular here and I definitely never seen it around in Philly or NYC, so you have to try it.

STK Steakhouse
If you’re a steak person, you would love this restaurant. We ordered two 34 oz Dry-aged Tomahawk & two 28 oz Dry-aged porterhouse for the table to share between 9 girls and it was definitely filling. The steaks were tender, not chewy at all, and DELICIOUS. We added truffle butter as a steak accompanied and it was delish. I would suggest coming a little early to make it to happy hour from 5-8pm at the bar for half off cocktails 🙂 You don’t need a reservation to sit down and drink at the bar but you do need a reservation for dining. The dress code is dressy and the hostess will remind you of the dress code when calling to confirm your reservation so dress to impress 🙂 You can check out their website here: https://www.restaurantji.com/fl/miami-beach/stk-south-beach-/

Dreamer Miami
This was like the number one place on my list lol because it’s definitely a must if you’re a foodie and also into ig worth places. It is pink, white, and green inside with all the tropical vibes and cute interior design. They have smoothies, coconut juice, acai bowls, matcha lattes, juices, and various food options for breakfast. I do think it is overpriced because an acai bowl was $16 and matcha latte was $7 but hey the views and pictures were worth it lol.

Dior Cafe
This was definitely on my list to visit because it was so IG worthy but didn’t get a chance to since we ran out of time and was pretty much hungover lol but still wanted to share because if I go back, this would be the first thing I want to do. This is a pop up cafe that doesn’t have a closing date so just call before you go in. You can get lattes with Dior in it as well as cute little bakery treats like macarons. It even has cute decor inside with Dior sign and printed animals!

-South Beach
-Wynwood District
-Dreamer Cafe
-Dior Cafe
-Basically anywhere with beach and palm trees 🙂

Misc.

If you stay in a hotel that is close by to any attractions, renting a car is not necessary. We Uber everywhere and it was pretty easy to call since they were everywhere. I would also suggest to pack sunblock and pack a light jacket cause it can get a little windy at night. FYI: the weather would say it would rain all day but it would be light showers and then it was gone so don’t worry. Lastly, we flew into Fort Lauderdale, which is 30 mins from Miami because it was just so much cheaper and we just split an Uber to the hotel so definitely search for flights here and Miami to compare prices.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Hope you guys enjoyed 🙂
